Over the past few weeks, we’ve been bringing you features on how to set up your Nokia N8, and how to get the best out of it. This week, we’re looking at how to set up an email account on your Nokia N8. Join us after the break to find out all you need to know…
The Symbian ^3 operating system on your Nokia N8 is incredibly versatile, but it can take a little time to get the hang of it. Handling emails is just one of the many features the Nokia N8 is capable of – read on to find out how to set up an email account.
To get started, click the menu button on your Nokia N8. Then click Applications, followed by Mail. Because you don’t already have any email account set up, you’ll be asked to define one – click on Yes.
You’ll then be taken to the email wizard – click Start to get going. Symbian ^3 supports a host of popular email providers as standard, including Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, Mail for Exchange and BT Internet. You can also define other email accounts.
Click on the email account that you have. It’s then just a simple case of entering your email address and password. Accept the terms and conditions, and you’re good to go.
The Symbian ^3 email application is a joy to use – it’s simple to navigate, has large buttons and it’s easy to read all of the text. It’s possible to access your email account by clicking on Applications, and Email, or you can also add an email widget to your home page.
