The Nokia C6-01 is the latest Symbian ^3 handset, offering a similar spec to the Nokia C7, but packing it into a more compact 3.2-inch casing. Although it may lack the wow factor of the Nokia N8, the smaller size means it's a lot easier to fit into pockets, and the cheaper price is likely to appeal to more people.

The Nokia C6-01 is now available for free through Nokia Direct, with a range of pay monthly deals to suit all budgets.

If all your friends are on Vodafone and you want to be on the same network, you'll be able to buy the Nokia C6-01 on Vodafone for £25 per month. This includes 300 minutes of talktime, unlimited text messages and 500MB of mobile internet.

T-Mobile offers an equally competitive deal, offering the Nokia C6-01 for just £20 per month. Text messages are limited to 300 per month, but you'll get more time on the internet, with a 1GB data allowance, and talktime remains at 300 minutes.

Rounding off the deals, O2 is currently giving away the Nokia C6-01 on a £25 per month deal. With 100 minutes of talktime, unlimited text messages and a 500MB data allowance, this deal also offers three months free line rental.
