The Nokia N9 powered by the new MeeG OS is looking closer to being a reality, as the latest leak suggests that the Nokia N9 UI is something truly to behold, while in hardware terms the Nokia N9 keyboard is spacious. Read on to find out more about the latest Nokia N9 caught in wild leaks…

The Nokia N9 is expected to be the first major device to sport the MeeGo OS when it finally launches in 2011. Rumours of the hardware have been flying around for months but if the Tweets of one major Nokia fan are to be believed then the Nokia N9 is going to surpass everyone’s hopes.

Nokia N9 Tried & Tested?

Former Nokia Manic @SimonLR has apparently managed to get his hands on an early Nokia N9 prototype and managed to post a number of Tweets from the device, with the most salacious being ‘Android and iOS don’t have shit on this. Not even close’. He also goes on to mention that the keyboard is spacious and that there are Homescreen widgets already working.

Now, this could all be rumour, but a friend of Simons, @MikeMacias, commented on the Tweets by saying ‘I don’t know if @SimonLR got his hands on N9 today but don’t think he’d kid. Simon resigned from @mobile_fanatics and TMF doesn’t have it.’

OK, so none of this is hard and fast so may well need to be taken with a pinch of salt. However, it all sounds very intriguing and while it doesn’t reveal too much about the Nokia N9 it does up the desirability factor somewhat.

We’ll leave you with a final comment from @SimonLR, which we think may well prove true: ‘Nokia fans, save your money for the next few months’ as this is going to be one smartphone we won’t want to miss out on!

how is this caught in action, i could make up a load of nonsense that i had one and the widgets looks great! If i had one you would have photos and video footage just like the guy that found the iphone 4 or techno buffalo with the E7……….

  • Kim

Well it better be good since iPhone 5 will be ready for launch probably around the same time.

  • Tiff

@lee – agree with what you say, not much info here unfortunately except what to potentially expect

not news, just lies……. the first person to get their hands on the n9 would publish pics or video not gibberish making out they had one and trying to make a name for themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw those tweets. I might be lies, but I don’t think so. The reson he just wrote about it was that I got the impression he met up with someone and just got to finger it for 15 minutes, tweeted from it and then gave it back (the tweets actually had signature “via N9″ or something like that). One tweet was “No pictures allowed. No off-device/camera samples. No dissassembly.”This guy really didn’t want him to take pictures that revealed him or his prototype. Remember, Nokia used to have so much leaks before, and now not many. So my guess is that everybody with some insight have gotten straight orders. Leak and you are fired and can expect a lawsuit. And that’s about time.
