Nokia E7-00: How Much Will You Pay?

The Nokia E7-00 looks like being one of the most exciting smartphones yet, offering all the features you'll ever need and a stunning design with a tilting QWERTY keyboard. How much are you willing to pay for the Nokia E7, however? Join us after the break to find out...

We can't wait to get our hands on the Nokia E7-00 – with a 4-inch screen and a large QWERTY keyboard it looks like the perfect device when it comes to web use and office work on the move.

The design is similar to that of the Nokia N8 – with an anodised aluminium casing and a glass display, but here you'll also find a tilting QWERTY keypad, as with the Nokia N97 Mini.

The spec is also impressive, with an 8-Megapixel camera capable of recording HD video, office software and Nokia's new CBD (ClearBlack Display) technology. There's also 16GB of integrated storage space.

We've already seen the Nokia E7-00 pop up on Expansys, available for pre-order for £585 (inc. VAT). And since then, Nokia's high-end business smartphone has made an appearance for £490 (inc. VAT) on Play.com, again for pre-order.

So how much are you willing to pay for the Nokia E7? It's set to go on sale for 599 Euros in Nokia's native Finland, so should the Nokia E7 be cheaper than the pre-order prices spotted so far?

We'd like to hear what you think - so leave a comment below and tell us what you'd be willing to pay for the Nokia E7-00.

    max. 400 EUR for Germany

~449$. Since camera is one of the most important features to me.
The only thing I like about E7-00 is the 4\" CBD display. and I don\’t care about the QWERTY keyboard.

Until I see the web browser update for S^3 I wouldn’t pay anything for this. N900 had a great browser, the browser on the N8 is terrible and has no place in 2011.

Hope now with Nokia we do get the First Symbian3 update so the Browser is faster an the E7 will not let people down,as thats the main thing thats lets the N8,C7 an C6-01 down,do not like Qwerty keyapds an a below average camera on the E7 so the N8 better Value

IMHO the price needs to come closer to the N8-00 for the following reasons:

    1) No MicroSDHC card slot
    2) EDoF camera remains a limitation for macro uses, even at 8MP
    3) No FM transmitter
    4) comparatively low 360×640 resolution becomes more noticeable with larger 4 inch display

[points 1 and 2 hinder E7's capabilities for business use]

CBD is a great selling point, but it is difficult to call this a premium selling point since it’s already offered on the C6-01, a lower priced unit.

An N8-01 with physical QWERTY could command this price point…but not the E7-00, IMHO.

Notice that prices in Finland are always significantly higher than in most other countries. When You think of the 599 preorder price of E7 in Finland keep in mind that preorder price of N8 was 499 (now 479) and eg. cheapest iPhone 698 €.

Nokia E7 has 640*480 resolution that is unacceptable in 2011. When web browsing it causes text to appear garbled unless you zoom in which I do not like to do. In 2006 the E90 had a higher resolution screen and a better browser. That was 5 years ago, what is going on Nokia?

I wish Nokia will make another REAL BUSINESS SMARTPFONE this time ! not another “toy-mobile”

Since my last nokia E90 (hardly used from 3 and half years) I can’t find any other real phone for BUSINESS !

My E90 is still working but I plan to change it for something newer since one and half year and…I can’t because is nothing like that – just more modern – on the market.

Don’t disappoint me please Nokia Guys this time !
