The Nokia E7-00 as hit Preorder status in the first two countries, namely Finland and Sweden. Nokia stated that the Nokia E7-00 would ship in the first quarter of 2011 so it looks like things are nicely on track for the QWERTY handset. Read on to find out more about the Nokia E7-00 preorder in Finland and Sweden…

The Nokia E7-00 is a QWERTY messenger device running Symbian^3 and will be the first 4-inch screen device Nokia has released. The AMOLED display has a now standard 640 x 360-pixel resolution and also comes with Nokia’s ClearBlack screen technology for better image contrast.

Other features of the Nokia E7-00 include 8-Megapixel camera, HSPA, GPS with Nokia Ovi Maps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

We’ve just had a check of the Nokia E7-00 in Finland and you can indeed get your hands warming to the prospect of the Nokia E7-00. It comes for the price of 599 Euros, which is currently around £503 at today's exchange rates. This, of course, is for a SIM free model, so subsidises will be available for devices tied to contract.

The Nokia E7-00 in Sweden has been posted up as 5 995,00 kr, which works out at a similar price. Nokia broke the news via its Twitter feed but no mention of when other countries would be getting preorder status.

Sadly, there is no mention on either site of when the Nokia E7-00 will actually launch. We’re keen to see if the UK pricing will follow suit or whether it will be slightly cheaper. How much would you be willing to pay for the Nokia E7-00? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below.

This phone is totally overpriced, the specs were top end circa summer 2009. £300-£350 is fine, it should be priced as a mid-range competitor to mid-range Android and Blackberry phones, I’d definitely get one in that price point as I am looking for a new phone with a decent qwerty keyboard. There’s nothing really special about this phone, low end processor, standard camera, no memory card slot, screen resolution is too low for such a big screen. I like the build quality, but I think it’s pretty poor value for money at that price. For £500 I’d expect a top end 2011 phone with a dual core processor, insane screen resolution etc, which will serve me well for at least 2 years. The N9 is just around the corner which will blow this to smithereens, so I guess I’m better off holding onto my money for that.
