Memory Status Touch is a tiny app, taking up just 0.27MB of storage space. It downloads in seconds from the Ovi Store, yet comes in particularly useful if you have lots of files and are worried about running out of space.

Memory Status Touch is also quick to start up, and using it couldn't be simpler. Memory is shown in several different bars – with Phone Memory and Mass Memory always displayed, and Memory Card showing up below them as soon as you connect a memory card. There's no need to restart the app in order to get your microSD card to show up.

You'll get a visual representation of how much memory is used and how much space you have left, with used memory coloured blue. If you have trouble seeing colours, Memory Status Touch also provides numbers above, letting you know how much memory is actually in place – again split into phone, mass and memory cards.

You'll also see the exact data for memory used – in MB and GB – and how much each of the different types of memory have left to offer – also in MB and GB.

It may be simple then, but Memory Status Touch is still a handy little app to have. If you add a shortcut to one of your Nokia N8's homescreens, it offers an easy way to see exactly how much memory you've used up with apps, music and videos.
