The Nokia X1-00 looks set to be a candybar feature phone, much like the Nokia X3, but as we can see from the released photo may well lack a camera. OK, so the single photo to-date doesn't give us much else to go on but at least we know Nokia has more phones in the nest waiting to be hatched.

Before any phones can be launched in the US of A they need to be passed by the FCC (Federal Communication Commsission), so you'll often find twitchers hanging around looking for those elusive early birds. Such is the case with the Nokia X1-00, as the guys over at Unwired View have just called it in. They found the Nokia X1-00 on the FCC.
The Nokia X1-00 is set to support 850/1900 MHz GSM networks and comes with a speaker on the back. Other than that, very little is known about the handset, other than it is expected to be a super-cheap phone as befits its entry-level status.
How do we know the Nokia X1-00 is set to be the budget device of the X Series? Well, Nokia's new naming/numbering convention dictates that the higher, or lower in this case, the number, the more branches of the tech-tree it will hit coming down to land.
