Pixeline Jungle Treasure combines old school platforming gameplay, colourful graphics and coin collecting in this charming Ovi Store game available now for Nokia handsets. Is it any good? Find out in our Pixeline Jungle Treasure review.
The first thing you notice about Pixeline Jungle Treasure is how well it's presented. The bright, cartoon-like graphics really stand out in comparison to a lot of other similar mobile titles. Each of its 23 levels, set across many environments looked as great as each other on the Nokia X6 we played Pixeline Jungle Treasure on.
Gameplay-wise Pixeline plays like platform games of old, asking players to do little more than jump over obstacles such as mutant plants, chasms, jumping on floating platforms and more. Its uncluttered control layout means it's easy to get to grips with.
However, the controls are on the slow side, taking some of the excitement away from the action. There's little urgency. Despite this Pixeline Jungle Treasure remains a pleasant game more suited to younger Nokia gamers looking for something to play on-the-go. It's a solid performer worth at least checking out, especially since you can pick it up for absolutely nothing, courtesy of the ad-supported version to save you a few quid off the paid version.
