We've been completely addicted to Angry Birds ever since it came out, but it's nice to see new levels appearing. While Angry Birds Seasons came out for Christmas, it's still the perfect choice if you're bored. Join us after the jump for our full Angry Birds Seasons review...
OK, so Angry Birds Seasons may fall into the 'game' category rather than 'app', but as soon as we spotted it again on the Ovi Store and realised we haven't reviewed it yet, we had to download it and get playing straight away.
There's nothing new about the graphics on Angry Birds Seasons, and that's no bad thing. Simple, cheeky and full of charm, it looks great without being overly complicated, and runs smoothly and at speed throughout.
As soon as you start the app it's obvious that Angry Birds Seasons was designed for Christmas – with suitable Christmas hats on the birds, snow, holly and Christmas trees appearing on the menu, among other things.
Click the first level and you'll see 24 different games – one for each day of the build-up to Christmas. With the festivities out of the way, you'll be able to play them all at the same time – we certainly couldn't put it down after just one level.
Instead of glass structures, with Angry Birds Seasons the pigs build their fortresses out of ice. It still breaks in a similar fashion, however, so gameplay remains familiar.
The birds are also the same as always – with different types of birds reacting to second taps of the screen once launched.
There's also a trick or treat section, providing lots more levels. With lanterns, pumpkins and eery looking backgrounds, it makes a great contrast to the snow and ice.
Overall, Angry Birds Seasons may not offer anything new, but we're more than happy to welcome more of the same with open arms – the original Angry Birds was one of the best apps ever, and Angry Birds Seasons only reinforces our love of it.
