The Nokia C5-03 is the latest 3.2-inch smartphone from Nokia to run the Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system so it seems only natural that people will want to see how it compares to the Nokia X6 with which it shares a common heritage. Find out how the Nokia C5-03 and Nokia X6 compare as we place them side-by-side…
The Nokia C5-03 and the Nokia X6 both come with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. However, they use quite different technologies. The Nokia X6, for example, was the first capacitive screen to be launched by Nokia, while the Nokia C5-03 uses the more traditional resistive display. This means you’ll need to give the Nokia C5-03 a slightly firmer poke to get the bets from it, but we’ve still found it a highly usable touchscreen.
As you’ll see from our photos below, they may have the same screen size but the Nokia C5-03 is a slimmer and lighter smartphone. Weighing in at just 93g, it’s noticeably lighter in the hand than the 122g of the Nokia X6 and slips into a skinny jeans pocket a whole lot easier.
It’s not just on the outside where they differ, as under the hood you’ll find things a little different too. Both use an ARM 11 processor but the 434MHz CPU of the Nokia X6 is topped by the Nokia C5-03 with its 600MHz chip, so apps will load and run a whole lot smoother.
Then there is the difference in camera spec. The Nokia X6 comes with a 5-Megapixel camera, as does the Nokia C5-03 but you’ll find the Nokia X6 as the edge when it comes to video as it records at 30fps, as opposed to 15 fps on the Nokia C5-03.
