Drive Angry is the latest Nicholas Cage vehicle and until we downloaded Drive Angry on our Nokia N8 we have to admit it looked like a bit of a lame duck. However, with some great set pieces and a quirky sense of humour all its own, Drive Angry is well worth a download from the Ovi Store. In Drive Angry Nicholas Cage plays a vengeful father who escapes from hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and have kidnapped his granddaughter. Sounds like a nice horror meets action film, does it? Throw in Satan’s right hand man, The Accountant played by William Fichtner, and you have a real weirdo of a film with some laugh out loud action scenes.

Directed by Patrick Lussier, the guy who brought us My Bloody Valentine and is set to direct Halloween III later this year. Just as with his previous outing, Drive Angry is filmed in 3D so expect lots of things, mainly knives, bombs and debris to come flying out of the screen towards you.

Drive Angry weighs in at 17.91MB, so if you’re going to download the trailer to your Nokia N8, as we did, then it’s best to use the built in Wi-Fi connection. The trailer is good fun and it fills the screen, so images look sharp and really pop, while the sound quality is nice and crisp.
