BeerWaste Review For Nokia X6

BeerWaste is a curious Ovi Store game for Nokia smartphones in which players must prevent a man from getting drunk by breaking his beer bottles. Is BeerWaste worth a download? We've been checking it out on our Nokia X6 to see. Read BeerWaste our review to find out.

After reading the quirky premise for BeerWaste we just had to try it out. The aim is to prevent a beer drinker from consuming too much alcohol within a limited time in order to attain the highest score possible.

Set in a dingy pub, beers flow along a table to a beer-loving customer. Your aim is to stop as many from reaching his beer-bellied self by flinging coasters at the incoming pint glasses.

It's a neat idea but isn't quite as enjoyable as it is quirky. The touch controls work well enough but the amount of time you need to aim your coaster projectiles to perfection takes some of the fun away. Instead of the fun quick-draw bottle smashing game we were hoping for, the slow pace of BeerWaste makes it more focussed on timing.

As presentation goes, the in-game graphics feature a neatly drawn pub setting, but the game throws you straight in. Extra modes would have been nice. But as you'd expect from a game that costs nothing to purchase on the Nokia Ovi Store it's pretty basic.

BeerWaste is capable enough of wasting a good few minutes on, but we were hoping it would be more enjoyable.
