Drop It! Review for Nokia X6

Drop It! is a free physics-based ball game for Nokia handsets where players have to guide a ball through holes as quickly as possible. It's more challenging than it looks, and more fun. But is the Ovi Store game worth a download? Read our Drop It! review to find out.

Drop It! is simple to play. You do so simply by tilting your accelerometer equipped handset left and right while the game is in action. We played Drop It! on a Nokia X6.

The controls work wonderfully, without any real sign of slowdown as you guide a ball through holes you'll find in a series of platforms. The level continually scrolls down. The aim is to guide the ball through those holes as quickly as possible to attain the highest score possible before the ball disappears.

There are three balls to choose from: Metal, Rubber and Super PingPong. Metal is the easiest to play as it rolls slowly and is heavy, so doesn't bounce. Rubber bounces slightly, and is the most fun, we think. Those wanting a challenge should pick Super PingPong; it bounces all over the place, making it harder to guide through the holes.

Drop It! is surprisingly challenging. Persevere with it for more than a minute (if you can last that long) and the more difficult challenge of the game ramps up to make it mildly entertaining.

Drop It! isn't quite a must-have free Ovi Store game, but it is mildly fun if you're looking for a quick distraction. But of you're looking for better free game for your Nok, check out the free Marble Maze Classic from the Nokia Ovi Store.
