Over the past couple of weeks we've been looking at all the features the Nokia C6-01 has to offer, and it's definitely one of the nicest new smartphones we've seen. What's it like in terms of quality, however? Join us after the cut to find out...
We've already looked at all the features on the Nokia C6-01 – from the 8-Megapixel camera to the onscreen keyboard – but you may be wondering what the actual design and build of the phone is like.
All of the new Symbian ^3 phones we've seen so far have offered a deeply impressive finish – including the Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and the soon to be released Nokia E7. The Nokia C6-01 is no different, offering high quality materials and a decent fit and finish.

It's not as robust as the Nokia N8 – as the Nokia N8 features a casing made out of a single piece of anodised aluminium. Instead, the Nokia C6-01 is made out of a variety of different materials.
The bezel around the screen is constructed from polished metal, which looks great and offers a tactile feel. The back of the Nokia C6-01 is also made out of a sturdy piece of metal, and the overall impression is one of strength. These are the two parts your fingers will often come in contact with first, and it helps the Nokia C6-01 to feel every bit as nice as its more expensive siblings.
Helping to keep costs down, Nokia has fitted a cheaper plastic display to the Nokia C6-01. It doesn't feel quite so slippery as the glass panels found on the Nokia C7 and Nokia N8, and also picks up scuffs and scratches easier. That said, the CBD (ClearBlack Display) technology does look stunning, with vibrant colours that make this phone great for showing off your photographs.
We also like the plastic call and end buttons below the screen – buttons that none of the other Symbian ^3 phones offer. They make it easier to answer your calls and hang up at the end, and are a welcome inclusion.
The buttons on the side of the Nokia C6-01 are the only real let down when it comes to the design. With a shiny chrome finish, they look similar to the chrome screen surround, but they're too small and fiddly to use comfortably.
Aside from the tiny buttons, however, the Nokia C6-01 has an amazing amount to offer those on a tight budget. It's easily a match for more expensive phones when it comes to quality, and also offers a neat and compact design.
