Nokia N8: How To Use The FM Transmitter
Your Nokia N8 is packed with features. While some of them lead the way – like the 12-Megapixel camera, other features – like the FM transmitter – have been appearing on Nokia smartphones for years. The FM transmitter in phones like the Nokia N8 is a feature that often sets the Finnish company apart from its rivals. It may not be one of the latest features, but judging by the emails we get it’s definitely one you guys like, and it makes it easy to get the best out of your music.

Using the transmitter, you’ll be able to pick up your music wirelessly on an FM radio. Simply play it on your Nokia N8, turn on the transmitter and find the correct station, and your music will be played out for all the world (within earshot!) to hear.
Once you’ve picked your playlist, and decided which album or music you want to play over the radio, it’s time to turn on the transmitter. Click the menu button, followed by Tools, and then FM Transmit.
Click On, and you’re good to go. Underneath, you can select the frequency you want to transmit at. Turn on your radio, and to 90.00MHz – you should hear your music playing when you get to that frequency.
If the music isn’t very clear – with other radio stations overlapping – then you can change the frequency. Simply search manually on your radio for a frequency where there’s no station – and then enter that number into your Nokia N8.
