It's always a worry that one day you may lose your Nokia C7 and all your contact details – making it difficult to get in touch with your friends. To sync your phonebook with Nokia’s Ovi service, you’ll need to set up an Ovi Account. You’ll need this for the Ovi Store anyway, and to use Nokia’s social networking widget, but once you’ve set up an account you’re good to go with all the different features.

Head over to contacts.ovi.com once you’ve set up an account. From here, you’ll be able to manage all your contact details – from adding new contacts, to editing existing ones, to deleting unwanted numbers.
It’s easy to manage all your contacts once you’ve logged in, as everything is displayed in a big simple grid – complete with photographs if you’ve already added them.
To sync the numbers from your Nokia C7′s phonebook to Ovi.com, the best way is to add a Sync shortcut to your home screen. Check out our Nokia C7 Ultimate User Guide to find out how to edit your home screen. You can also open the Sync app by clicking the Menu button, pressing Connectivity, Data Transfer and then pressing Synchronise.
Click Options and Sync Settings to adjust your username and password details. You can also adjust the settings to change what items are synced – make sure that Contacts is ticked before you start. You can set the Sync function to work automatically every month, or manually.
Once you’ve pressed Synchronise, head back to contacts.ovi.com, where you’ll see all your newly synchronised data. You can synchronise more than one Nokia handset at a time – so it’s also easy to keep multiple phonebooks up to date.
