The Nokia E7 is set to be released, and with a 4-inch CBD (ClearBlack Display) and the latest version of Ovi Maps pre-installed, it has the potential to be Nokia's best navigation smartphone yet. Join us after the cut to find out more about Ovi Maps on the Nokia E7...
Over the past couple of months, we've seen a host of smartphones from Nokia that lead the industry when it comes to satellite navigation. Nokia's Ovi Maps service offers a premium experience that's more than a match for the very best paid for services, yet won't cost you a penny.
The Nokia E7 looks set to take full advantage of Ovi Maps, with its 4-inch screen proving the perfect addition for frequent travel. The CBD (ClearBlack Display) technology offers stunningly accurate colours, and with AMOLED technology also crammed in the Nokia E7's screen is easy to view in all conditions.
Ovi Maps has never been easier to use, with mapping looking sublime on the 4-inch screen, and the Nokia E7 also offers the ideal form factor to get the best out of the integrated search functions. The big QWERTY keypad lets you quickly type in post codes or places you're searching for, and you'll be able to use features such as a full Lonely Planet guide to find out all about local attractions.
You can download maps on the go with your Nokia E7, taking advantage of 3G/HSDPA connectivity. You can also download all the maps via Wi-Fi before you set off, cutting out any data costs if you're travelling abroad or on a contract with limited data.
Add an integrated GPS chipset, along with A-GPS (Assisted GPS) for faster start up times, and the Nokia E7 is a compelling package, and one that can even rival dedicated satellite-navigation devices.
