Green Hornet is an all-action driving game in which you take the wheel of the Black Beauty - a car kitted out with enough advanced technology to bring down a band of villains. Is the Ovi Store game worth a download? Find out in our Green Hornet review.

As mobile games go Green Hornet is one of the most action-filed we've played for a while. You take the wheel of a car fitted with rocket launchers to take on the bad guys attempting to take you off the road.

The action comes courtesy of touchscreen controls used to steer your car left and right. Swipe right for right, and left to go left. Tapping on the car fires off rockets. You'll need them to launch a barrage of justice against the enemy motors coming up the rear, bumping into you before dropping explosive road mines in your path.

That's not all you have to look out for. Deadly roadblocks require some fast dodging. Get knocked about enough and your energy bar will deplete quickly.

It's decent fun, but you'll feel that the finger controls aren't always as responsive as you like - the action is too fast for the controls to work as well as we'd have liked, making it very tricky to progress onto later levels.

With more responsive controls Green Hornet would be a great game. On the plus side, the graphics, sound and presentation are pleasing to both eye and ear. Green Hornet looks like a proper little pocket-friendly arcade game.

Green Hornet is available on the Nokia Ovi Store for £1, but if you've got a data connection, we'd recommend you try out the free version.
