If your message tone is the same as the people you're sitting near, the chances are you end up taking your Nokia N8 out of your pocket whenever you hear the familiar beeping noise, only to be disappointed when it's somebody else that has a new message. Thankfully, you can change your message tone to a new one, and it's easy to do.

Click the Menu button to get started. Then click on Settings, and Profiles. Click the profile you want to change the message tone on, and tap Personalise. Click on Message Alert Tones, and then click on the folder marked Tones.
You'll be able to select any of the files in this folder – clicking on the name of the tone once plays it so you can hear what your message tone will be, and then tapping Select confirms your choice of message tone.
