Nokia Announces Nokia Pure Font and New Branding

Change is afoot at Nokia. Along with a new operating system partner in Windows Phone and a fresh commitment to Symbian, we now have a completely new font and branding to take Nokia into the future. Join us after the cut for more details. Check out the Nokia Pure font and what the new branding means after the jump..

The new typeface is called Nokia Pure and has a softer look overall than the existing Nokia Sans – or as Nokia itself says, “seamless motion” replaces “condensed forms”.

Some might argue that it's not as distinctive as the current Nokia font we all know and love, but Nokia Pure is certainly easy on the eye, and it's highly readable too as the comparison with the standard Helvetica and Nokia Sans shows.

The concepts of purity, flow and motion certainly work for us, and we're already liking the new look rather a lot.

You can check out the new look in the gallery below. So what do you think - are you looking forward to seeing the new Nokia Pure font adorning your favourite Nokia handset? Let us know in the Comments below.
