So Hanwha has just launched an HDMI/USB combo adapter for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch, offering the convenience of being able to connect to an external HDTV. That's all very nice – but it's something Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 owners can already do without any messing about. Read on to find out more about free HDMI on the Nokia N8 and Nokia E7.
The Nokia N8 and its Symbian^3 partner the Nokia E7 have many talents, among them the ability to record top-quality HD video and watch it on your big-screen HDTV at home. That's because they already come with HDMI already built-in, something the iPhone may get around to in future versions.

What's more, peel open the packaging of either of the high-end Nokia smartphones and you'll be greeted with both a phone-to-HDMI and a phone-to-USB adapter cables right there in the box, for no extra cost.
Invest – heavily – in one of Apple's devices and you have no such luck. Apple's own HDMI adapter will set you back some £35, while Hanwha's new combo adapter is expected to cost twice as much.
The Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 are both premium devices, like most of Apple's products, but Nokia at least rewards you for your initial outlay by giving you the tools you need to take full advantage of the great features on board.
In other words, you don't have to pay extra just to use the tools you've bought them for in the first place - now that's what we call forward thinking!
