Nokia C5-03: How To Set Up Email

One of the first things you'll want to do when you turn on your Nokia C5-03 for the first time is to set up your email account. The Nokia C5-03's Symbian S60 version 5 operating system makes setting up your email a simple process, and you're sure to be scanning through your mail in no time. Read on after the cut to find out how.

If you're setting up email for the first time you'll first need to run through a few background settings. Press the Menu button, then navigate to Applications, then Tools then Sett Wizard. You'll be asked to provide your email and service provider settings.

Once this is done, tap E-mail setup from the same menu, or return to the Homescreen at your leisure and tap the Set up email option below your Contacts widgets about halfway down the screen.

You'll need to confirm that you're OK with the Nokia C5-03's mail app using your web connection to send and receive data – you won't be able to continue if you don't but do be aware that this might add extra data costs.

Your Nokia C5-03 will then run a few tests behind the scenes then you're ready to go. Tap Start on the Welcome to E-mail setup window, and select which email provider your account is with.

The most popular choices are listed individually, topped by Ovi Mail naturally, and there's also an Other option to set up a mail account with a service not listed.

Note that if you haven't already set up an Ovi Mail account, you won't be able to do that here – as you only have the chance to set up existing email addresses.

Regardless of the option you select, you'll then be presented with a window to type in your email username, then a second for entering your password.

All that's remaining is to accept the terms and conditions, and you're done – emails will now fire straight to your Homescreen.

    hello,

I configured my email on my C5-03 but why the emails are kept on the phone memory? how can i keep them on my card and not use my memory?

  • Malcolm Birdsall

The answer is because the phone software is total rubbish, as you will find when the phone memory fills up and you have a little brick, not a phone.
