Nokia talked about the Symbian world today, which consist of over 225 millions users world wide right now, with over 100 million sold last year alone. That’s a huge market that is tapping into over 5 million Ovi Store downloads a day.

There are now more than 40K apps on the store, which is an 8x growth in one year. Stats were also announced that some 158 developers have passed over 1 million downloads each, which shows there is an amazing opportunity for developers working on the Symbian platform.

What’s more, Nokia is expecting that over 150M Symbian devices are yet to be shipped/sold in the forthcoming periods.
