The Nokia X7 and Nokia X6 are both touchscreen smartphones aimed at the media fan but in many respects that’s where the similarities end.

The Nokia X6 is now well over a year old and was a stylish update on the Nokia 5800, in many respects. It’s a 3.2-inch capacitive screen running the Symbian S60 5th Edition OS. Its build quality is good but it’s made from plastic.

In comparison, the Nokia X7 stomps up to the plate with its 4-inch AMOLED display that uses Gorilla glass to make it tough as nails in all situations. The stainless steel body and glass design is neat and sleek and running the latest Symbian Anna operating system, everything is smooth, quick and within easy reach.

However, the Nokia X7 and Nokia X6 do have one striking thing in common, they have been designed to with an inch of their lives and break away from the cold flat box mentality that seems to be plaguing smartphone designers right now.

If you’re using the Nokia X6 and looking for an upgrade to suit the way you use your Nokia smartphone, then we reckon the Nokia X7 is the way to go. The big screen is fantastic for movies and web browsing, while the enhanced GPU and Symbian Anna OS make it quick enough to play games at full throttle.
