The Nokia E6 has landed and we’ve had a chance to get close and personal with it. We also brought our Nokia E5 along for a little comparison action. Side-by-side they're a great example of how Nokia designs with user groups in mind, the E5 for consumers, the Nokia E6 for business. Check out our Nokia E6 versus Nokia E5 hands-On photo comparison and see for yourself.
Both The Nokia E6 and the Nokia E5 may be QWERTY smartphones but are for very specific users, the older E5 is aimed at consumers and heavy social networking types, while the spanking new Nokia E6 is a dedicated business device that plugs right into your working day with enough left over to be the perfect device for after-hours too.

The Nokia E6 is the pinnacle of great design that started back with the Nokia E71, through the Nokia E72 and the Nokia E5. Both sport a full QWERTY keyboard, so getting the message across and out is easy. The Nokia E6 has the same larger Spacebar as the Nokia E5 but the keyboard is more proficient.
In terms of shape and build quality, The Nokia E5 and Nokia E6 look pretty much the same on the surface. However, scratch away and you'll quickly start to see why the Nokia E5 is a cost-effective consumer device, while the Nokia E6 is a premium business tool.
The body of the Nokia E6 is stainless steel and glass, as opposed to a plastic body with metal backplate on the Nokia E5. The major difference is in the screen technology, as the Nokia E6 comes with a 2.46-inch touchscreen display with Gorilla glass.
It’s also worth bearing in mind the Nokia E5 has a lower resolution screen and has an 18-bit brightness as opposed the brighter 24-bit and full VGA resolution found on the Nokia E6, so it’s not a fair comparison. However, it is a great example of what happens if you move up the Nokia tech chain, both in terms of price and tech value.
The Nokia E6 is set to make a huge impact on the market, delivering a hybrid input users are demanding. Add to this the thoroughbred track record of the E Series QWERTY devices and we’re about to enter a new era of excellence period, just make sure you’re along for the ride!
