If you want to add new ringtones or songs to your Nokia C6-01, it's easy to swap them wirelessly from your old phone. You can do this using Bluetooth. To find out how to transfer ringtones to your Nokia C6-01 using Bluetooth, join us after the cut...

Transferring ringtones is an easy thing to do, as long as you know what you’re doing. To start with, make sure that Bluetooth is activated on both your old phone and your Nokia C6-01. Once Bluetooth is turned on, make sure both phones are set to visible, and on your old Nokia go to Paired Devices.

Click Options, and New paired device. Click on Phones, and then C6-01. This will then ‘pair’ your devices – letting you connect and send files between the two without having to authorise it every time. To make sure you have the right device, you’ll be shown a code on each handset – simply check it’s the same, and then click Yes.

Then go to the File Manager on your Nokia – if you haven’t added it as a shortcut then you should be able to find it under Menu, Applications, Office and File Manager. Find the music file you want to send as your ring tone – ours was stored on our memory card – and then click and hold it if your phone is a touchscreen model.

You’ll then be able to press Send, Via Bluetooth, and choose the Nokia C6-01 from the list of recipients. The file will then be transferred automatically. If your old Nokia isn’t a touchscreen, click Options, Mark/unmark, and then Send.

Once the file has been sent, it’ll appear under the Notifications section on your Nokia C6-01′s home screen. Tap it – and it’ll come up as a conversation. Tap this, and it’ll play the song. You’ll then be able to click Options, and then Set as Ringtone.
