Lyric Legend: music meets gaming in Nokia Beta Labs

Nokia Beta Labs is a real melting pot of exciting innovations and emerging apps, but we're especially excited to tell you about something quite different that's just popped to our attention. It's called Lyric Legend, and it's a unique take on both music and gaming. Want to know more? Join us after the cut.

Lyric Legend is the brainchild of TuneWiki – the company behind the TuneWiki Social Media Player, which displays the lyrics to any song you're listening to on your Nokia's screen, so you can sing along to the words.

It's one of our favourite entertainment apps, and has been a familiar face appearing in roundups of our top apps for a number of Symbian^3 phones, including the flagship Nokia N8.

However, Lyric Legend takes things a step further, displaying the words to your favourite tunes in a series of orbs that you have to tap on screen in time with the lyrics to score points.

It's a fresh way of engaging with the music you love, and TuneWiki says the idea is to forge a deeper connection between music and music fans – an idea we're more than happy to support.

At the moment the game is being piloted by Nokia Beta Labs, and TuneWiki is eager for some valuable feedback from Nokia music fans on its first foray into the world of gaming and what it can do to polish it up over the next few months. So head over and give Lyric Legend a try – then leave your feedback on the Beta Labs forum!

Does not work for my N8.

-after selecting the song and selecting what level of difficulty,
    it just keeps on LOADING.

-i tried restarting my N8 and downloading the app many times but still not working.
