As with other touchscreen Nokia devices, the Nokia N8 offers a haptic feedback feature, with the screen vibrating gently each time you press it to let you know your actions have registered. It doesn't suit everybody, however, so if you want to know how to turn the vibrating screen off, then join us after the break...

Turning your Nokia N8's haptic feedback function on or off is as easy as pressing a couple of buttons. It can all be done straight from the homescreen profile function in a couple of seconds.
If you have the time and date widget on your homescreen, click on the profile box to the right, and then click Edit active profile. If you haven't added this widget, you can also access the profile function by pressing Menu, Settings, Profile and clicking a profile you want to edit. Then click Personalise.
Once the Profiles box pops up, scroll down, and look for Touchscreen vibration. You can select different levels of vibration – with the phone vibrating more or less depending on the number. You can also turn the feature off altogether.
