World Traveler 1.6 is one of those little apps that immediately make sense as soon as you see it, as it pulls everything you need to know about travelling together in one place. This free version is made up of Weather, Currency and World Clock but you can upgrade and get Flight Assistant and Travel Safe.

Currencies allows you to view four different currency rates at the same time and defaults to United Kingdom, Finland, United States and Switzerland. However, you can choose from 184 different rates and switching and adding them to the page is a simple matter of choosing from the options.
World Clock works in the same way as projecting four different times zones that can be refined by the user. In this way you can see the time in the country you're already in and the time when you arrive. Tap on the country and you can even drill down to change to the city you're flying in to, which is a nice touch.
Weather gives you a five-day forecast and defaults to the city you're currently in. Should you want to check out what it's like in your destination then simply change the city selection from the tab menu. We found it quick and easy and it worked with ease.
This free version comes with a couple of features you'll need to buy if you're to fully make the most of the app, such as Travel Safe, which keeps all your sensitive data in one place, while Flight Assistant means you get instant flight status alerts and makes perfect sense for those who regularly fly.
World Traveler 1.6 works best when it's constantly connected, which may be a sap on your data plan long term so it's worse closing the app down once you've reached your destination or even your plane seat.
On the Nokia E7 World Traveler 1.6 looks and responds fantastically. The big screen is stuffed full of information but never looks cluttered and getting the information you want is easy. We really like this app and it gets you into the mood for world travel.
