We've written thousands of words about the Nokia N8's 12-megapixel camera. But photography is a visual medium, and if you're looking to master the Nokia N8's star feature, video is a far better way of teaching than just words. So join us after the cut for a video masterclass from a mobile photography expert.

Nokia is known for its top-quality mobile cameras, and if there's one man who's made the difference it's Damian Dinning, an optics specialist who has been involved in all of Nokia's photographic success stories for years, from the Nokia N86 through to the much-loved Nokia N8.

So when the man himself lined up a group of mobile journos in London over the weekend to deliver a Nokia N8 camera masterclass, needless to say it was an opportunity of a lifetime.

So our thanks must go out to My Nokia Blog's Sergeijs Cuhrajs, who not only recorded the 40-minute session but then edited it down to a digestible 8-minute clip, which you can check out below.

Much of the ground covered here is not only applicable to taking snaps on the Nokia N8 itself, but to mobile photography in general, so whichever model of Nokia you have, you're sure to learn something from Damian to help improve the quality of the shots you take with your phone.

Just connect your phone to your PC, then go to my computer icon on your desktop. Once window opens and you will see; C Drive, then your dvd drive and on of them will say the name of your phone, such as Nokia N8. Select it and open the mass storage(the biggest in size) Then just copy pictures from your PC to the folder on the mass storage by the name Images.

If you have the Nokia Pc Suite installed in your pc you will see the drive within My computer, otherwise it will not be visible if the phone default is set to PC suite mode.

If you would rather the fastest mode of copy without using the Nokia Software, you will need to go into Settings>Connectivity>USB & set the default to mass storage, on your N8. You may need to do this before the cable is connected.

In any case, mass storage mode is the fastest transfer mode, ensure you’re plugged into a high speed usb 2 port otherwise it’ll still be slow on transfers.
