On the face of it, Mobile Darts seems perfect for filling a few idle minutes with some clean and simple fun. But does it hit the bullseye on the Nokia C5-03? Let's find out.
There's nothing too complicated about Mobile Darts: it's darts, but on your phone. Throwing darts at the board is a matter of swiping a finger across the Nokia C5-03's touchscreen, with the power and accuracy of your throw determining where the dart hits the board – if it hits it at all.

You can choose from two forms of darts, Cricket – where the idea is to hit each number from 15 upwards three times – or Oh-One, where you countdown to zero from 301, 501, 801 or 1,001.
It's certainly a good game to look at. The dartboard is richly detailed, and the dark red surrounds makes the whole thing easy on the eye.
Curiously, there's no option to play against the game in single-player mode, so unless you've got a friend nearby you'll have to play both players on your own.
The concept of swiping across the screen to throw the darts at the board seems like a great idea in theory, but in practice it's anything but.
You have to swipe your finger at a certain speed to get the dart to the board in the first place, but the harder you throw the more difficult it is to maintain accuracy, so it's all but impossible to target particular numbers with any kind of success. This is a real problem in Oh-One mode, and we ended up spending more time on the final dart than we did counting down in the first place.
Another niggle is that your score is added the moment you release the dart, rather than when it hits the board. It's a small detail, yes, but it's annoying nonetheless.
Mobile Darts would be far easier to get to grips with using a stylus, but since the Nokia C5-03 doesn't come with one as standard, we just can't recommend this game at all.
