Doodle Jump on Nokia E7 Review

Doodle Jump is one of those games you either find frustratingly addictive or it leaves you colder than a cold thing on a winter's morn with ice in your pockets and your jacket unfastened. We've been checking it out on our Nokia E7 and can gladly say it brings a warmth to our heart. It also works on all Symbian^3 smartphones, such as Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01. Check out our Doodle Jump on Nokia E7 review and find out more.

Doodle Jump on your Nokia E7 isn't going to change the world, isn't going to make you a better person, or even a better games player but it will get you where you need to go, as long as that's upwards powered by jet packs, spinny-hats and springs!

That's because Doodle Jump is all about getting up as high as possible, jumping from platform to platform and looking for boosts to give you that natural high. Miss your step and you'll plummet to your downfall and demise.

The 4-inch screen of the Nokia E7 makes a great gaming platform and while you can play Doodle Jump in either Portrait or Landscape mode, we found it easier to play in Portrait, as it gives you that little bit longer to respond to the platforms coming.

The graphics are simple but bright and colourful and they look great on the Nokia E7. Navigating your little doodle is simply a case of tapping the screen on the left and right and if nothing else it highlights how reactive and sensitive the Nokia E7 is and it responds amazingly well to the game.

Doodle Jump is one of those amazingly easy games to pick up and play but equally tough to master with confidence. A nice touch is that you'll see you're previous scores, or those of your friends you've nabbed your Nokia E7 to have a go, on the side of the screen, almost urging you on to go higher.

I have to say that the omission of accelerometer support in this version of Doodle Jump is completely unforgiveable, even though it\’s free in the summer of games promotion. It\’s almost like the game publishers are trying to make our phones look like relics of the last millenium.

Imagine if I showed this to anyone who has played Doodle Jump on an iPod or iPhone. They would laugh in my face when they realised they had to touch the screen.

    Very very disappointing…
