Most Nokia handsets offer the ability to use their camera flashes as torches, but the majority of the time you'll have to download an app, taking up time and even taking up a tiny bit of extra power to run the app.

The Nokia C7 is different, with a hidden torch feature. Using the flash as a torch couldn't be easier.

Just make sure you've closed any applications, and when you need a torch – to help unlock your door at night, for example – simply slide down the lock button, and hold it there for a couple of seconds. The flash will then come on and stay on, letting you shine it around. When you want to turn it off again, simply hold the lock button down for another couple of seconds.
