The Nokia X1-01 has been announced and while this budget phone sits low down in the pecking order of Nokia X Series devices, you’ll find it fairly unique thanks to it being a Dual-SIM, Dual Standby feature phone. So, you can switch between SIM cards whenever and wherever you like. Read on to find out more about the Nokia X1-01 Dual-SIM Dual Standby feature phone.

The Nokia X1-01 is the kind of device that a lot of Nokia fans have been asking for and the company has listened and delivered.

This low costs feature phone has a nice and simple design, not too removed from the Nokia X2 in our opinion. The big difference is that the Nokia X1-01 comes with Dual-SIM as well as Dual Standby functionality.

Such phones allows you to choose which SIM you want to use at any one time, so calls, messages and other functions can be easily switched. The ‘Dual-Standby’ part means that you can always receive notification of calls and messages on each account – rather than having to switch your SIM cards on and off. So as not to get confused which SIM you’re using, the Nokia X1-01 allows you to name each SIM, as well as give it a dedicated logo as well as a dedicated MP3 ring tone, just to make life that little bit easier. Both SIM cards come with their own SIM manager key to manage your settings and it’s very easy to set the default SIM for calling or sending messages When it comes to other features you’ll find the Nokia X1-01 is every bit the X Series music-centric device that even comes with a 106 phon speaker on the back, making it loud enough to be heard in crowded when ringing, or for music when kicking back with friends. The Nokia X1-01 runs the Series 30 OS and offers support for up to 16GB of storage using the SD card slot.

We like the fact it has a flashlight built into the top of the phone, perfect for when trying to find your keys late at night, or for those parts of the world where street lighting isn’t so great. Weighing in at 91g, the Nokia X1-10 measures 112 x 47 x 16mm and comes with a 128 x 160-pixel resolution screen.

You’ll find 3.5mm audio jack, built in MP3 player and FM radio and even three dedicated music keys that allows for creation of playlists, as well as Shuffle and Repeat functions.

It’s thought, the Nokia X1-01 will ship this quarter in India, China, South-East Asia/Pacific region, Middle East and Africa, Eurasia and Brazil and cost 34 Euros, before taxes and subsidies.
