It’s been the Meego Conference over in San Francisco this week and while no news about the soon-to-be-expected Nokia Meego smartphone was forthcoming, there have been some interesting insights on display. Take this use of NFC (Near Field Communication) that runs on Meego and is currently acted out using a Nokia C7. Join us after the jump for the video demo.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is increasing in awareness with end-users right now and could well be the next buzz topics for manufacturers and users alike. The fact it’s already built into the Nokia C7 highlights that Nokia is ahead of the curve with this technology and we’ll see it rolled on more devices in the future. At the Meego Conference this week ICS, one of the US of A’s largest Qt and QML providers were showing off a neat application for NFC that uses a MeeGo tablet hooked up to the Nokia C7 in order to use it to write RFID tags.

The video below shows how the concept works, it’s simple, it’s neat and it means that very quickly you (or others) can create content that brings NFC to life.
