We're used to seeing new versions of popular upcoming apps and services popping up at Nokia Beta Labs, but the team working on Soundtracker Radio have really outdone themselves by releasing their second update to the app in less than a week.

Soundtracker Radio is a “geolocal internet radio” service that puts a library of 10 million fully licensed songs from every genre you can think of right at your fingertips.

You can create and share personal radio stations, play music with friends in real time, share your favourite tunes via social networking, and even search your area for popular stations created by other Soundtracker users and connect with users who have similar tastes to your own.

The latest update – Soundtracker Radio beta release 1.5 – comes not only with progressive downloading for both Symbian^3 and Symbian S60 5th Edition users, which was introduced in Monday's version 1.4, but it also fixes various issues that had been identified relating to Facebook integration, including log-in, station share and friend invites.

Symbian S60 5th Edition users are advised to install Java Runtime 2.1 beta before installing Soundtracker, while anyone upgrading to the new release is advised to completely remove any existing version first before proceeding.

Soundtracker Radio 1.5 is available to download now from Nokia Beta Labs, so head over there now to try it out – and make sure to provide the developers with feedback so they can continue improving this great internet service as it moves towards a full release.
