We all know Symbian Anna brings a wide array of improvements to Symbian^3. But it's one thing to see the changes written down, and another to see them in action. And now you can, courtesy of a side-by-side comparison video of two Nokia N8s – one running Symbian Anna and one not.

Symbian Anna: discover the updates on offer

Nokia served up the Symbian Anna update – or Symbian PR 2.0 as we had been calling it until that point – back in April, and we've been patiently counting the days till its arrival since then.

Of course, the quickest way to get Symbian Anna is to invest in a new Nokia E6 or Nokia X7, as both the new faces in Nokia's smartphone range will arrive on doorsteps with Symbian Anna already on board when they start shipping over the next few weeks.

But Anna will also be heading out over the air to existing Nokia Symbian^3 handsets, including the Nokia E7, Nokia C7 and Nokia N8, and it's on one of those handsets – the Nokia N8 – that we've been given our most extensive look yet at the features and fixes that Symbian Anna brings to the table.

French site Blog-N8.fr has given us a 33-minute side-by-side video showing off two Nokia N8 handsets in action – the first running Symbian^3 as we know it today (in other words Symbian PR 1.2) and the second running the updated Symbian Anna (or Symbian PR 2.0).

The commentary to the piece is in French, but even if you don't understand the words the pictures tell a story anyone can follow, and give us our most revealing look yet at what we can look forward to from Symbian Anna below.

So hit the Play button below, then tell us what you think in the Comments!
