Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.40 Beta ready to download and brings with it a number of big changes, including getting free apps and maps straight from your computer to your Nokia smartphone.
It's been a busy week for the Nokia Ovi Suite. Earlier this week the Ovi Suite version 3.1.0.90 popped up. Now, Nokia Beta Labs has announced that you can get your hands on Nokia Ovi Suite version 3.1.1.40 from the site for downloading onto your Windows computer.
Ovi Suite is the conduit that links your Nokia smartphone with your PC. While you can download and update apps via the suite you shouldn't confuse it with the Ovi Store, we've heard people have which is why we mention it. Ovi Suite backs up all your data, as well as being used for updating your Nokia smartphone.
The Beta Labs guys have pointed out that Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.40 is still in Beta form but with a couple of more tweaks they feel it will reach final product status, which means it will be finished and ready for general release.

Updating naturally takes place more swiftly. Major updates to Nokia Ovi Suite, like updating Nokia Ovi Suite 3.1.1.40 to Nokia Ovi Suite 3.2.0.50 still require the download of the full update package.
- Lots of error corrections. For example, over 30 crash errors have been fixed in this release.
