Farm Frenzy is free right now as part of the Nokia Summer Games offer that is going on for anyone who owns a Nokia Symbian^3 smartphone. We thought this was a great opportunity to check out this simple but addictive SIM game for ourselves.

SIM games work best on a big screen and they don’t come any bigger in the Nokia line-up right now than the Nokia E7. With the Nokia X7 due for release that’s another Symbian^3 with 4-inch screen Farm Frenzy will look great on.
The graphics are quite cartoony and pleasant and while they won’t put too much stress on the graphics chip in the Nokia E7, it works well and the gaming experience is fun.
It’s a quick download and as with most SIM games the first couple of levels also act as tutorials, teaching you the ropes of how to manage a farm as well as manage the mechanics of the game. For example, you need to feed the fowl in order to get eggs but in order to grow the grass you need to have plenty of water on hand.
As you get to grips with the game mechanics each level gets progressively harder. You need to buy new equipment to open levels and generally the game gets more demanding. Managing resources is largely how games like Farm Frenzy work and you either like the approach or loathe it with a passion. Fortunately, we really like this style of game and the touchscreen of the Nokia E7 proved truly adept and responsive.
Farm Frenzy on the Nokia E7 is fun. Sure, it’s not one of those games you can pick up and play for five minutes and play while you’re waiting for your bus stop, largely because it’s so involving you’ll drive right on by. For those who like a little strategy with their fun this is a game well worth checking out.
