If you're getting ready for Glastonbury 2011 then you'll know that being prepared for all situations is a must. The Glastonbury 2011 app is a great way to bring all your news and mapping needs onto your Nokia E7. What's more, it's free and a quick download from the Nokia Ovi Store.
The app itself has a simple interface that loads quickly and offers up a Schedule, Map and News. You'll find that the news and schedule are frequently updated, so you'll always stay on top of what's happening.
Tap on Schedule and you'll be able to see what's going on at the Main Stage as well as places such as the Dance Village, Green Fields and The park. There is also a nice addition in the form of My Planner, which allows you t add the bands and events you want to see over the course of the long Glastonbury 2011 weekend.
Tap on any of the stages on the Nokia E7 and at the moment you'll find a list of the bands scheduled to play. You'll find details for each of the three days broke down by separate tabs across the top of the screen. We've been keeping an eye on the Glastonbury 2011 app and in the last couple of days the schedule has been updated. You can scroll right along a time line and see which bands and acts are appearing on which screen at that time.
Tap on an act on the Nokia E7 screen and you'll find the start and time finish of their performance.
Map is a great addition as it means you can easily get to grips with where you are. You can zoom in and get a feel of where you are as well as the location of POI, such as Information, toilets and bars. It looks like the map will be interactive once Glastonbury 2011 kicks off but at the moment while you can move about the page it lacks anything more dynamic.
News is a nice feature that keeps you touch with what's going on with the festival. In the last couple of days this channel has started to get a little busier, not only with updates on the festival but also the app itself! We think this feature may well end up being as useful as the Map should the weather stay as unpredictable as it has!
Glastonbury 2011 app on the Nokia E7 is a fast and reliable app. It has a nice and neat interface that really gets the job done, making it the perfect survival app.
