The Nokia N9 is finally with us, and brings with it not only a great spec but a fully realised MeeGo 1.2 operating system too. Want to see them in action? Of course you do, and thanks to a whirlwind video demo from Nokia marketing manager Jussi Mäkinen, now you can!

Nokia N9 MeeGo smartphone with 3.9-inch screen launched

The announcement of the long-awaited Nokia N9 was without question the high point of an action-packed Nokia Connection 2011 in Singapore.

Nokia promised us a “market disrupting” new product, and in the completely buttonless Nokia N9 and its MeeGo OS we'd say it's certainly delivered on that promise.

The Nokia N9 – and MeeGo itself – have always been seen very much as a developer-friendly platform, so understandably there's plenty of interest in the finer details of the gorgeous polycarbonate handset's inner workings.

This needs to be released in the next 2 – 3 months or else Nokia will again be left choking on the dust of it’s competition (dual-core phones).

  • Vonjandl

agree as well. Too bad no N950 with 12MP will be sold though

    No physical keyboard. Nooooooo……

  • Mpottinger1970

    and no radio

  • Mpottinger1970

    the n8 is mush better

  • Mikevhx

no physical buttons is a big NONO if you ask me.
    I own N8 and N9.
I find the N8 more attractive than the N9, but N9 has easier OS.
My next phone will be android though.
BTW the girly C7 has the green telephone button, witch is a plus but the phone looks gay.
Samsung galaxy s2 is the best phone around for now, 2x 1100Mhz arm processor and ANDROID

cons : no FM radio, no FM transmitter, no Java applet support, no stock flash support

    gonna buy it anyway :)
