The Nokia Play 360° wireless speaker is something of a new departure for Nokia as the striking single-body mono speaker delivers amazingly high quality audio playback in all directions.
Traditional single-speaker devices tend to send the sound out in one direction but the novel design means the audio range is widened so you’ll get a clearer and sharper sound no matter where you are.
In this video, Markus Ahonen, the Head of Entertainment Accessories team talks about the product, the process of developing it, and how his experience has been using it. The name Play 360 comes from the upward directing speaker design, which gives ideal spread of music in the room. It reinvents the way speaker sweet spots have traditionally been approached.
The Nokia Play 360 is set to cost around 149 Euros, when it hits the streets in Q3 of 2011.
