Good news for Nokia C5-03 owners: Nokia has issued a fresh firmware update for the popular C Series mid-ranger, updating Nokia Maps and improving performance. Read on for all the details.

The Nokia C5-03 sits in the middle of the Nokia C Series lineup, mixing the mass-market popularity of the Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system and a practically sized 3.2-inch display with a full touch interface and a decent camera and features list.
And Nokia has just made sure its appeal stays fresh by dishing up a new firmware update – version 12.0.023. So what's new, we hear you ask? Well, for starters there's an all-new version of Nokia Maps on board, adding direct links to Weather, Qype and TripAdvisor from the main Maps menu. The Nokia C5-03's a-GPS has also received a calibration update, while we're told the upgrade also brings with it a battery performance upgrade and other performance improvements.
The update weighs in at 2825KB, and you can easily update your handset by heading to Menu, Applications, Tools and then SW update.
