Loads of phones out there claim to be well suited for social networking. After all, with the popularity of the likes of Facebook it's a big selling point. So what are the best Nokias for keeping social butterflies hooked up with their world? We look at he best Nokia phones for social networking after the break.

So what are the essentials for a good social networking phone? Well for starters you'll want a decent camera, preferably with video, so you can update your peeps with the latest goings on. And direct access to the Facebooks and Twitters of this world straight from the Homescreen is a big plus too.

A physical keyboard is a must for some but not essential for others, while of course a speedy internet connection is all but essential.

The good news is that Nokia social networking specialists come in all shapes and sizes – and all price ranges too. Let's take a closer look at our favourites, divided into three price groups to make sure there's something for everyone.

High-end social networking phone: Nokia N8

The Nokia N8's list of social network-loving features is a long one, but surely starts with its 3.5in AMOLED display that serves as the perfect hub for all your social networking desires. The 12-megapixel camera is another winner, and your snaps from a night out will give those taken on other smartphones a serious dressing down.

The on-screen keyboard is another much-loved feature in our book, and will help ensure your status updates don't miss a beat, while multiple Homescreens will keep your contacts and all the latest news and updates within easy reach.

It's compact enough to go wherever you go, and the smaller 3.2in screen actually comes into its own when you're typing as the Nokia C6-01 is easier to hold any type with two hands in landscape mode than larger-screened alternatives.
