The Nokia Oro is a stunning looking 3.5-inch smartphone that along with GPS and 8-Megapixel camera packs in some pretty unique flourishes. The smartphone itself takes the standard Nokia C7 and with the addition of gold, sapphire and leather turns this into something completely different.
It's worth bearing in mind that both devices come with a number of great features. NFC (Near Field Communication) is built in, so you can take advantage of localised content where available (or use it with any of the new Nokia Gear accessories).

Here’s five ways you take a great mainstream smartphone and turn it into an object of desire.
Gold-plated body
The big difference between the Nokia Oro and the Nokia C7 is how the device is built. The Nokia Oro comes with an 18-carat gold plated jacket. The overall effect is that the Nokia Oro is slightly heavier, weighing in at 132g, and slightly thicker measuring 117.3 x 57.5 x 12.2mm.
A touch of Sapphire and Leather
The Nokia C7 come sin three colours, Silver, Black and Mahogany, while in contrast with the Nokia Oro can choose between a Light Edition and a Dark Edition. The difference is in the Theme on the homescreen and the use of dark or light leather on the backplate. No matter which Oro you choose you'll find Sapphire also used on the frontplate.
Symbian Anna
The Nokia Oro comes pre-installed with the latest version of the Symbian^3 operating system, while Nokia C7 owners will need to wait for the update to strike – expected August. This means you can take full advantage of the new features, such as a new web browser, better Calendar functions, latest Qt updates, as well as quicker an cleaner OS.
Enhanced camera
The 8-Megapixel Full Focus camera with dual LED flash, shooting 720p HD video is pretty much what you'd expect from a class act like the Nokia Oro. The video camera has been boosted on the Nokia Oro too, so you'll find 30fps recording, instead of 25fps on the Nokia C7.
Matching Bluetooth headset
The Nokia Oro also comes with a unique, acoustically designed Bluetooth headset that also happens to be plated in 18ct gold.
