Nokia has a QWERTY keyboard smartphone for every occasion. Sitting at the top of the heap is the Nokia E6 and while the Nokia C3 may be an entry-level device it has a charm and style all its own. Read on to find out about the Nokia E6 and Nokia keyboard comparisons.
At a casual glance you'd think the Nokia E6 and Nokia C3 were the same but they have quite striking differences. The Nokia E6 comes with a 2.46-inch touchscreen display that packs in an amazing 640 x 480-pixel resolution, while the Nokia C3 has a 2.36-inch screen with a more typical 320 x 240-pixel resolution.
The Nokia E6 is the latest Symbian powered device, coming complete with Symbian Anna installed, while you'll find the Nokia C3 is powered by the Series 40 OS, which is great for basic tasks but lacks the wealth of apps support you'll find on the Ovi Store for more expensive devices like the E6.
Construction wise, the Nokia E6 shows off its high-end credentials with a metal and glass body and while the Nokia C3 feels robust and great in the hand, the body is made from plastic. With so many differences on show, when it comes to the QWERTY keyboard you'll find there are a host of similarities, as well as differences.

The biggest similarity between the Nokia E6 QWERTY keyboard and that of the Nokia C3 is the layout. You'll find that both sport a 37-key array with three rows of 10 keys each and a fourth row with seven function keys, including a nice and large Spacebar.
You'll notice from our photos that the keyboard on the Nokia C3 is longer, this is because the keys on the Nokia E6 are 1mm shorter (we got our trusty ruler out and checked) than those on the C3. However, this is because you'll find there is a slight bezel around the individual keys of the Nokia E6, designed to make typing that little bit easier.
The QWERTY keyboard on the Nokia E6 makes better use of space because Nokia has designed a thinner bezel around the keyboard, so the keys use more of the available space. The overall result being there is less of a rounded curve to the keyboard.
When it comes to typing, both the Nokia E6 and the Nokia C3 have a great feel to them but if you get the chance to try them out you'll notice there is a difference, as that spacing around the Nokia E6 keys is really noticeable.
It's worth bearing in mind that the Nokia C3 costs around £85, while the Nokia E6 is a premium device costing around £300, so you would expect the build and overall experience to be higher. That said, the Nokia C3 is a nice and affordable device that is a pleasure to use.
