The Nokia N8 is already a great smartphone, but with the Symbian Anna update soon to land it's all set to get even better. Read on as we reveal the top five Symbian Anna highlights to look forward to.

It's hard to believe that the Nokia N8 was first announced nearly 18 months ago now, such has been its enduring popularity.
The combination of timeless design, a great screen, an even better 12-megapixel camera and a wide array of premium features has kept the Nokia N8 near the top of our smartphone popularity chart until today.
And thanks to Symbian Anna, we're expecting it to stay here, with the update to Symbian^3 platform all set to introduce a new look and feel to Nokia's premium smartphones, not to mention a few new features too. Here are the pick of the bunch that Nokia N8 owners should be looking forward to.
Portrait QWERTY keyboard
Probably the most welcome new feature Anna brings to the Symbian^3 brigade is the addition of a dedicated portrait mode for the on-screen QWERTY keyboard. The Nokia N8's fairly compact smartphone lines makes typing in landscape mode a breeze, but it'll certainly be nice to have another option.
Nokia Web Browser 7.3
With an updated platform comes an updated web browser, and as our hands-on review attests, Nokia Browser 7.3 is better looking, easier to use and faster. The address bar is now on the main page, for instance, and overall it's a much improved browsing experience.
New icons
It may not add anything that wasn't there before, but Symbian Anna's new-look rounded icons will probably be the first change you notice, and are sure to look superb on the Nokia N8's gorgeous AMOLED touchscreen.
Calendar
We've been taking a closer look at Symbian Anna's revamped calendar in recent days in our hands-on review, but to sum up, you can look forward to an all-new split view approach with an empty text box on the right so you can start typing straight away, making it more intuitive and easier to use than before.
30fps video with autofocus
Symbian Anna offers plenty of new features for all Symbian^3 users, but it seems there's a special treat heading just to the Nokia N8: 30fps video with continuous autofocus. Nokia imaging expert Damian Dinning has confirmed the new features are incoming as standard – features that previously were only available as hacks, or a standalone app.
We'd love to hear from all you Nokia N8 owners out there – are you excited about Symbian Anna, and what are you most looking forward to getting your hands on? Answers in the Comments as usual!
