Nokia Ovi Store hits 6.5 million daily downloads

The Nokia Ovi Store is going from strength to strength with a reported 50,000 apps now spanning the store. With figures of 6.55 million daily downloads also being cited, it’s clear Ovi Store is on a winning streak. Read on to find out more about Nokia Ovi Store.

Back in April, The Nokia Ovi Store was doing a brisk level of business with Nokia users having  hit the magic 6 million daily downloads marker! Less than three months later a report from Mobile Business Briefing quotes the new stats of 50,000 apps and 6.5 million daily downloads.

With over 225 million Symbian users world-wide, it shows there is an amazing level of interest in the platform still and developers are keen to tap into this market. Apparently, last month the15 top app developers had downloads in excess of 10–20 million apps downloaded, with the top 5 picking up more than 20–30 million downloads.

    Yes i do. I try to download something when ever i find something. I see ovi has changed a lot these days in terms of qualty apps and ease of downloading them… keep it up Nokia.
