It's one thing to review a mobile phone, but quite another to live with it every day. And that's exactly why our review after living with the Nokia N8 for eight months has attracted so much interest: it's exactly what Nokia users have been doing in the real world.

We've had lots of great feedback both on the original post and over on our Nokia N8 Facebook page, the majority from Nokia N8 owners who like us have been using the N Series handset for months and months.
And we're pleased to say your own comments echo our own for the most part – that the Nokia N8 is peerless from a hardware and camera point of view, and makes a great day-to-day mobile companion.
Smjana, for instance, reckons that despite having used many Android phones, the iPhone and a variety of BlackBerrys, the Nokia N8 “has the best hardware” and asks “what more can you want in a mobile?”
Mohan says it's “one of the best phone i've come across”, while after a month of use Edward Douglas says “it is a great little phone and im very happy with it”.
We regularly pick out the handset's 12-megapixel camera for special praise, and it's an enduring favourite for Nokia N8 owners too. NiqueGT says it's “the only smartphone you can can take photos near to a professional cam with, no other smartphone beats this”, and many of the other comments also mention the camera's quality.
On the downside, most Nokia N8 users agreed that the Symbian^3 software can be laggy and unresponsive at times on such a feature-rich smartphone, but that hopes are high that the Symbian Anna update can fix many of those issues.
However, we'll give the last word to Lucas 'rateng' Mboya on the Nokia N8 Facebook site, who says: “still in my opinion the device to beat all other devices. upgrades on Symbian should improve it further”. Our thoughts exactly, Lucas!
