The Nokia E6 is the latest business superstar in the E Series lineup, and makes history by being the first smartphone in the world to come with both a full QWERTY hardware keyboard and a full capacitive touchscreen. We've been getting to grips with the Nokia E6 over the past few weeks, and thought we'd round up our impressions so far in one easy-to-read review roundup.
The Nokia E6 builds on the legacy of the Nokia E71 and Nokia E72 to lay claim to being the most impressive QWERTY candybar handset Nokia has ever produced. Aside from its communication-friendly dual-interface approach, it also features the brand new Symbian Anna operating system, the exciting new update to Symbian^3.
So what have we made of this innovative new addition to the Nokia smartphone lineup? Well, we've been going through the Nokia E6's strengths and weaknesses in a series of in-depth reviews, and here are our impressions thus far.
Nokia E6 Unboxing Review
Made from stainless steel and glass, it looks and feels fantastic in the hand. The build quality is great and the slim design makes it highly pocketable. Unlike previous QWERTY devices you'll find the display is touchscreen, so you can use in whichever way you find the most comfortable. The Nokia E6 has the first full VGA resolution screen on this class of device and the 2.46-inch with a 640 x 480-pixel resolution looks sharp and crisp.

Nokia E6 Hardware Review
The Nokia E6 is a QWERTY smartphone running the latest version of the Symbian^3 operating system, also known as Symbian Anna. The design of this smartphone is very much a development of the Nokia E71 and Nokia E72 but Nokia has made sufficient changes to make this the ideal device to upgrade to. With a full metal jacket and a glass 2.46-inch screen you’ll find the build quality is pretty amazing. We love how solid it feels in the hand.

Getting around the screens is quick and nimble and as part of the Symbian Anna update you’ll find you can now preview the upcoming Homescreen, which is a nice feature. The speed of switching between screens is impressive. You’ll find four homescreens, with each one having space for three widgets, or up to 12 app shortcuts per page.

Nokia E6 Camera Review
The camera on the Nokia E6 isn't intended to go head-to-head with the powerhouse that is the Nokia N8. Instead, the 8-Megapixel EDoF (Extended Depth Of Focus) is a reliable camera for the casual user. EDoF means the camera is basically a fixed focus lens with some added Nokia software magic that makes sure that everything more than 40cm away from the lens is in focus. This means you won't find any close up or Macro modes on the Nokia E6 camera, making it better for casual snaps than for the serious photographer.

Nokia E6 Symbian Anna Software Review
The biggest change we’ve found is speed, as Anna simply flies compared to previous versions of the OS. The new Homescreen design means you can preview the screen before or after the present one, something you couldn’t do before. This is a nice touch but has taken a little getting accustomed to, the pages change so quick it’s easy to lose where you are!
